Paris Economic Development Corporation hires new Executive Director
Paris, Texas (12/15/2015) – Paris Economic Development Corporation (EDC) today approved the hiring of Michael Paris as the new Executive Director.
Paris will be coming to Paris, Texas from Wichita Falls, Texas where he currently serves as Vice President for Business Retention and Expansion. He has been with the Wichita Falls Chamber of Commerce since 2008, and has worked in business recruiting and retention for over 20 years. He has prior experience in healthcare and higher education. Paris will join the Paris EDC on January 15, 2016.
Richard Manning, Chair of the Paris EDC said, “Michael brings vast experience in working with local manufacturers to keep jobs and assist in expansion. Also, he has been successful attracting employers to Wichita Falls. We are excited to have someone with his experience help with the growth and development of Paris, Texas.”

Paris holds a Bachelor of Arts from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas and an MBA from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. As an economic development practitioner he possesses a certificate from the Economic Development Institute of the University of Oklahoma, an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certificate from the National Development Council and a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from Cameron University.
During his time in Wichita Falls, Paris has served on many boards including McCoy School of Engineering, Lalani School for Entrepreneurship, the Wichita Falls Symphony Orchestra and River Bend Nature Center.
Paris is a proud father of his three children. Brice is a junior at the University of Iowa, Millicent is a senior in high school and Phillip is in 7th grade.
